[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a follow-up to the photo I posted yesterday. Even though it was snowing like crazy, the parking lot of the shopping center was filled with seagulls. It looked odd seeing them resting half-buried in snow. I gingerly pulled my car up next to them and was surprised they didn’t fly away. Until I rolled down my window and they all took off :(

I then pulled forward to take my photos of the produce stand. As I sat there, the gulls returned and I took a couple of shots in my rear view mirror. A very harsh day for our feathered friends.

In pp, just a slight crop, curves and USM.

Thanks for viewing and have a great start to the new week and month.

Hi Werner,

The rear view mirror certainly resulted in natural framing, much to my liking. Interesting to see the sea gulls in a parallel stance with the parked automobiles. You skillfully captured the atmospheric mood. I heard our area is expected to get more snow mid of the week and perhaps again this w/e. Regards

Danilo

Hi Werner - Interesting composition. At first I thought it was a vignetting filter and then I realized it was your mirror. Plus, you were able to work the gulls into it!

Hey Werner!

This is a great effect! When I saw the thumbnail, I thought you had created a 1950 look of a B&W TV. Very good idea, creative and very interesting!

I hope you have a good one!

Hi Werner

A superb shot of the nonchalant seagulls in the snowstorm. Good use of partial desaturation, & I like the competing dual diagonal layers/lines of cars & gulls. Tfs!

Hi Werner ,

I can see a good shot with difficult situation, the low light, window POV,heavy snow, may moving car?but still you managed to capture those seagulls superbly, their features are well in focus with good details, what snow....I haven't seen one like this throughout my life, very well done.

TFS,
Have A good week

Hello dear Werner!

Nice shot of the winter season and so heavy snowfall. You must be lucky to have those. Well nice shot which could have been great if from outside but I do agree with the conditions out there which would not let you take a shot. These seagulls are amazing I dint know that they live in cold weathers like this.

TFS, indeed nice shot!

Best Regards,
ALi
