Although I've deleted all my photos, I haven't closed out my account. I still get emails when my favorites have posted.
This is a cool photo, real-life, great focus and composition! I'm surprised that this switch is done manually, very surprised. Yes, at a time like this, I'm glad that these fellas are gainfully employed.
I have enjoyed this photo and note. Thanks for sharing it!
Happy New Year my friend! I wish you well.

I remember the turnaround well, and I'm pretty sure I rode the Powell & Hyde car during my visit to SF. When I was there, the cars were busy, but never too full to hop on. You've captured the essence of the scene well, I really like the crop to eliminate any distractions. I watched a movie last night that you might be interested in, the cinematography is superb. It's called "Local Color." The story is pretty good, but throughout the movie I kept remarking to my wife how excellent the photography is.
Happy New Year to you also my friend!

To me this is a unique photo. Never saw this before. I thought this was done by machines or so.
Good note with this unique photo.
Happy new year to you and your family too.

very symbolic picture, as you noted,
but this scene is very funny and cheerful,
the heavy iron train is moved and turned by human efforts,
it is meaningful to me,
thank you for your nice capturing,

here we have a tram, which is
circuit for tourists, not for day to day.
The San Francisco are an icon in the world.
Compostion and presentation are very nice.
Also to you and your family a healthy 2010.
