[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Tech Museum of Innovation was an awesome experience when we were in San Jose. There was a robot in the lobby which was controlled by the man behind the counter (made me think of The Wizard of Oz"Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain."

The cool thing is that not only does he control it but he also has a microphone which translates his voice to sound like a robot and it comes out of a small speaker in the robot's mouth.

My daughter (as you can see clearly in the photo) has caught on to the gag. My son is still trying to figure it out. The robot asked him his name and then started talking to him like a normal human and he started to get wierded out.

When the robot tried to get closer, Phillip would back up, unsure of what to do...

The Tech is singularly focused on inspiring the innovator in everyone it reaches. Truly hands-on and interactive exhibits, divided among themed galleries, offer guests a truly memorable experience. [thetech.org]
