[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the Pittsburgh Zoo. The conditions were tricky - he was behind thick glass in an enclosure with muted light. Luckily he held almost completely still for quite some time, giving me an opportunity to adjust settings until I could get an acceptable image.

I'm not sure what he was seeing while looking up this way, but with his chin held high, his lips pressed together in a stern frown and his nostrils flaired, he seemed defiant and proud. Most of all, his wet, dark eyes were intriguing to me. What could he be thinking about?

The face is beautifully sharp considering the 1/40 sec exposure. It is such an expressive face. Well done on this great capture.
