i feel that the shot is rather soft considering that you are using a (close to) $1500-lens. may that be because this photo was cropped heavily? another thing is the pose of the bird is not flattering; a front shot would have been much better. good luck chasing birds next time.

A lovely little bird. I actually like the profile. Background seems a bit yellow to me, but maybe it was.

Looks like we share the same bird feeder as well as guests. I don't mind the orientation of the bird as you can see the detail in the wings. A little sharpening in post processing might provide better end results. Here is a similar photo from my yard.
