Bees, Lilac trees, blue skies, all a welcome sight for these two eyes.

I've not been much of a "flowery" type of guy but the newly blooming lilacs, bunches of bees, looming clouds and that sky of blue "called" to me today when I got home from work so I tried my hand (& camera) at something new.

Yakima Valley, Washington State, USA

Blessings, Tim

Tim, I love it! It looks like a page out of a fairy tale book, everything about this photograph is perfect, the composition, the subject, the lighting, the DOF, the focus on the green leaves on the right give one the idea of hiding in the bush waiting for this special moment. How did you shoot this, did the bee just happen to fly into the frame or were you running after it? lol.
Well done Tim, great work.

Super colours, composition and great capture of the bee.
Great stuff!!

Glad to see you accepted the "calling" Tim...wonderfully composed with vivid precision of the bee's approach to his aromatic feast of pollen.

Wau Wau !!! Simply one of the great shot.Well done Tim.

Love it!!! This shot speaks volumes , by itself and coupled with the title
Now you can see here the beauty that nature has bequest on mankind, all stems from he smallest of creatures, good shallow dof coupled with good colour, your "somthing new" has worked for me, most

It's just great, Tim! It definitely says, no, it screams "spring". The liliac trees make a fine way of occupying the right and bottom areas of your frame, and that incoming bee in front of that kind of sky is just too good to be true. Great colors, good DOF. Well done.

How a little insect can "make" a great photo!
Very nice, how you placed the flowers; under and on the right.
Very well done, Tim, I think it wasn't easy !

Great catch. The DOF is very good. And the colors and comosition are well-done. I only have superlatives for this shot!

Amazing picture, the colors are great and the bee in motion is perfect. Very good DOF, the framing is very nice. Very well seen!

This is very cool. I love the way the bee is in the cloud. Great colors neat picture.

This just has to be the abosolute best bee shot I have seen on both sites. I know it's not a real macro of the bee, but the way you have composed this image is wonderful. To me, it's like a page from a story book .....
One day, there was this little bee, named Busy, and she .....
My congratulations, Tim.

Wonderful shot and DOF - you captured it so well it almost seams to be unreal ;-) The bee at the cloud a real scoop for this photo - thanks for sharing Tim.

Incredible shot. so sharp and colors are so good. It's amazing how you could make a good focus on a flying bee ! I wouldn't even think of trying.

Wow, this is excellent!!!! Great job, Tim! I love all the details - the bee, the flowers and green leaves in focus in the foreground, and the other flowers and clouds that are blurred in the background. And the flowers wonderfully frame the little bee. Love it!
