[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is, I think, Mt. Moran within the Grand Teton Range in the Grand Teton National Park. The River is the Snake river. Mt. Moran is 12605 feet high and we happended to be there after a new snow fell in that area. This was June of 2008. Imagine snow in June!

There is a bird flying in the upper left. I had to reduce the size of the picture to get it uploaded so hope the bird is large enough to see.

You will notice it was taken with an ISO of 1600. This was a photographer "error" (I forgot to reset the ISO) but I think it enhanced the picture. Except the sky is a bit grainy. Hope you enjoy and any comments are appreciated

Critiques [Translate]

Fred,
Other than the small 526 x 350 size and the 1600 ISO, I'd say you nailed this one.
Good notes, awesome blue sky and reflection in the water. I think there is a way to get this to load at 800, you just have to minimize a few quality settings that wouldn't affect the quality on our monitors, depending on your photo program. The bird, at this small size is only a distraction. I am sure it looks great at full size.
I think this could use some improvement but it's still VERY impressive.
Scott

Hi Fred - shame about the ISO setting, but we've all done it :-)

You could think about using Neatimage (free downloadable software) which removes noise and smooths images - that might work a treat on this shot.

Great critique from Scott, I echo just about all he says here - but i think the bird adds something, it isn't a distraction to me.

Lovely scenery and well captured :-)

Hi Fred,
This picture is a masterpiece, very nice scenery.
great composiiton and nice sharpness, beautiful reflections,
Georg

Hi Fred,
I think this an incredible view of this majestic mountain. The colors of the snow capped mountain and the vivid blue sky are very good. The reflections on the water are wonderful. I don't think the high ISO hurt the shot. Nice work Fred.
Regards,
Kevin

Beautiful reflection, symmetrical photo cutting photo in half could crop sky e.g. rule of thirds.
