[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went to Lake Tahoe with my daughter for a girls' weekend away from home and for some fun time together in the beautiful mountain scenery. There had been an early storm overnight, so we found delightful patches of snow and billowy clouds everywhere we looked. This view is along the northeast shore, on the Nevada side of the lake.

Hello Karen
Excelent POV and compo; superb sharpness, light and colours. Wonderful photo.
~Congrats, mb

Hello Karen,
I like the strong contrasts, here: they convey a kind of "rivalry" between two seasons, between summer and winter, between the dark and cold land (rocks and trees) on the one hand, and the clouded but bright sky on the other hand. The light behind the clouds is beautiful and well captured, and enhances the above mentioned mood.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Hi Karen
Perfect exposure for both the rock and the snow, not an easy task. Clear crisp FG element in contrast with the "angry" clouds. I suspect we will see a few more.

Dan

Karen Hi:

Splendid composition of beautiful Nature, the light snow and wonderful sky are very impressive, indeed.

Congratulations, very nice, my friend

now where are you wondering around, Kari, lucky woman? Good that you have so many wonderful places to go. Nice POV, natural framing, fine shot. T>Y>>>>>> Janos

Hi Karen,
Excellent POV with overlapping elements bringing depth to the picture. The snow looks good, too. The forest is perhaps little too dark (in the shade?) and the willows at the front are not very photogenic. There may be also too much weight (i.e. dark surfaces) on the left. Well, most of the time the scenery photography is making compromises.
TFS,
Pentti

Hi there
I looked at most of your pics, and this is one of my favorites. I love the composition, and the sky looks amazing. I think this is one of those shots that will look awesome in HDR.
Well done and TFS!
