[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a visit to Monterey in California,we visited the Monterey Pier, took in the shops & restaurants, then waited for the rented fishing guide boats to arrive.
Their arrival is met with huge flocks of seagulls & other birds, hoping to catch a scrap from the returning fishermen. The pelicans are no different,& they wait patiently beneath the filleting trays, where the days catch is to be gutted & cleaned & where any part of a fish that is not needed by the fisherman,is thrown into the water, for the Pelicans to fight over, this is one of those times.

Numai bine,

Bom dia Ron,
A beautiful image and a lesson of life and survival.
This is the picture that should be ranked among your best.

Great timing and capture of those pelicans fighting for food. Good pov and dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Hi Ronald,

Excellent capture of the pelicans, very good action shot .
Fighting for the food, daily for some animals unfortunately.
Great détails and sharpness, the light is perfect too.
My best regards.

Hello Ronald, an unusual PoV as we look down on the feeding pelicans, we can even see the fish that they are fighting over!
Their plumage is in sharp focus.I like the colours with the grey birds surrounded by the blue green water.
Tfs, regards Jean.
