Three down, 97 to go in my Antelope Canyon series. . .just kidding folks. I really don’t have that many photos of the canyon but even if I did I won’t post more than a few, the canyon is beautiful but after a few photos they all look the same.

Antelope Canyon is at once one of the most breathtaking and tranquil places on earth. Gently carved from the Navajo sandstone over the course of countless millenniums, the slot canyons are majestic and narrow passages, just enough space for a small group to walk the sandy floor - and for the occasional shafts of sunlight to shine down from above.

Though dry most of the year, Antelope Canyon runs, and sometimes floods, with water after rains. It is the water, slowly wearing away the sandstone grain by grain, that has formed the beautiful and graceful curves in the rock. Wind has also played a role in sculpting this fantastic canyon.

I have seen many great photos of this canyon, and this is another of them. What an amazing place!! The rock looks like carved wood. I love the warm colors you've got here - all the orange tones, and the amazing detail. Very well done.

Hi Eleu
Great shot of this famous hot spot area
The curves are wondeful, nice composition with superb highlights and shadows
A color balance to decrease red tone will help

Bonjour Eleu,
Une autre jolie capture de ce canyon aux couleurs chaudes du soleil. J'aime beaucoup les formes rocheuses et les stries laissées par les années.
Merci et bonne journée.
Danièle.

Olá Eleu,
As much as take pictures of a place much visited, there is always a differente look, a differente angle, lights and colors to be discovered and you did with your picture.
(This picture reminds me a lot when I started studying photography on my own, an author and photographer Jim Zuckerman inspired me a lot.)
TFS.

Ciao Eleu,

If I had not seen this picture in other
angles, say it was painted by hand!
The light here is perfect for defining the details
rock.
Beautiful angle and very good taste!
Greetings,

Sergio

Bonjour Eleu,
Odile

Bonsoir Eleu,

A classic image but well treated. Good exposure with nice tone and good sharpness. At 2.5 sec I beleive you used a tripod or some kind of support. Image shows some nice texture. A photographer paradise and you did a good job there. TFS.
