[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. The bend is locally known as "King Bend." It is located slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, about four miles or 6 km south of Page. Accessible via a ¾-mile (1.2 km) hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff above. According to Google terrain maps, the overlook is 4,200 feet above sea level and the Colorado River is at 3,200 feet above sea level making it a breathtaking 1,000 foot drop.

Tytul polski " Podkowa "

Meander na rzece Kolorado o nazwie "podkowa" co nie budzi chyba zadnych watpliwosci dlaczego.
Z parkingu do tego miejsca jest tylko 400m ale trzeba pokonac wzgorze i cala sciezka jest piaszczysta wiec niech ja szlag trafi, na dodatek 30-go wrzesnia temperatura wynosila 35 stopni... - chyba juz nie pojde tam nigdy.
Oczywiscie nagrada jest ten wspanialy widok - miejsce bardzo niebezpieczne - urwisko jest wlasciwie pionowe, a roznica poziomow wynosi troszke ponad 300m.

Ten polwysep otoczony fosa, to widok zapierajacy dech w piersi.
Ta podkowa, to kolejny klejnot Matki Natury.
Bardzo ciekawie wygladaja tez motorowki plynace rzeka.
Wspaniale pokazany meander rzeki Kolorado w technice HDR,
wykonanie bardzo efektowne w kolorach, swietle i ostrosci.
To jest naprawde piekne...gratulacyjki!!! :):):)

Obvious your not affected by heights Tom :-) a great angle for showing of this piece of Arizona.I like the colors & details the HDR gives this.Are those motorboats racing each other, or just out for a days fishing? Mother nature

Going through your gallery, I noticed you have some wonderful landscape shot, but this is really outstanding.
A great composition from a considerable high POV.
A real horseshoe bend here!
A good HDR treatment, fabulous warm cast and sharp presentation.

bardzo interesująca praca, szczególnie z powodu techniki i osiągnietego efektu. Twój trud naprawde sie opłacił :), choc podejrzewam, że nawet najbardziej efektowne zdjęcie nie zastąpi widoku na żywo.
