Warning: I have several photos of Antelope Canyon that I will posting in the near future. This beautiful canyon is practically in my backyard (okay, 250 miles from Las Vegas) but I’ve never heard of it until the first week July 2010. When I visited two weeks later I learned that between 3 to 5 millions people visit the canyon every year and most of them are from foreign countries. During my visit I saw people from Germany, Italy, UK, South Koreans among others. This canyon is truly amazing and it’s no wonder it’s a popular tourist attraction and known worldwide except by me in Las Vegas. How pathetic is that of me? If you wish to visit Antelope Canyon I recommend taking the 2 ½ hour photographic tour of the upper canyon. Reservation for the tour is highly recommended.

Hello Eleu

I like it. You have captured the intense color well. Sometimes your own back yard is more intresting than traveling far away. Seems like you found something amazing. NIce work

Ciao Eleu

I get to admire the details and colors
and shape of stones, and the beautiful light
leaving all this color.
Congratulations, Wonderful view!

I soon heard from that place; beautifull...

you took your tripod? (expo 3seconds)
for the tour with a group isn't it difficult to wait for alls; cann't we visit this place free with all the time we want? it must be beautifull at 6 morning or 9 afernoon....

but so far away from my home...
(I have the Verdon Canyon or Roussillon "in my backyard" but no time to go - that's what we said, in fact we have time but don't take it, too much other to do!)

Greetings Eleu,
you have caught the colors & the textures of these canyon rocks well.I hear that you have to pick your time to view these canyons,as there is danger of "Flash Flooding" also to get the best time to photograph the Canyon,it is recommended to hire a Navajo guide, to have the luxury of the canyon free of tourists,& to see them in the best light & safety?

Hi Eleu,
This is a realy stunner. You've really captured the beauty of this area and showed us the amazing light that can sometimes appear in this canyon. Excellent framing and sharpness. Maybe you can clone the bright spot on top away and slightly reduce the red.

An amazing perception of warm colours so well presented excellent all well done ELEU TABARES.
