I had a great time shooting bridal photos for a friend of mine. It was HOT, and so we found some shady shots and this is my favorite. I had some trouble implementing what I wanted in my head. Sometimes you just can't make someone do something! The Bride loved to smile and I just don't like CHEESE photos... I wanted more romance, more mood. But whatever, I'm paid to take the shot.
I had fun! Hope to go back there soon for some butterfly shots.

Hi Linda.

I like your creative style, this is unusual but very attractive, I know what you mean re cheese types, especially if you have to sit through a 100. The amount of white works so well as framing for her, skin tones appear soft and your DOF is spot on against the blurring backdrop.

Nice touch Linda, am sure she will love. TFS

`Linda, I must say that this is a different bridal shot and I love it... with my people they smile without showing teeth they just kinda smirk. Her smile is happy and natural. I do not like the artificial cheesie smiles too, You wanted a romantic look... I would bring the groom and ask her to think about how she loves him, it might work... I love how the DOF/Focus gradually fades to the left. Nice work & TFS

One of the best bridal portraits I have seen for a while, Linda B-)

Mind blowing light control (by avoiding any OE on white) and perfect exposure in this beautiful work.
The lively smile of the bride adds a lot in the appeal of the picture, and the eye-contact is just wonderful.
A marvelous work as usual!

Kind regards,

Hello Linda

A very artistic touch on this wedding image. To this date I have never shot a wedding. To afraid to put someones special moment in my hands. I have asked one of my friends who shoots weddings if I could a ride along so to speak. Maybe someday! I do like your style. I like her complextion in the lighting and using her dress to envelope her in the POV. nice

This is really nice. And surely not an easy one with all the whites of the fabric. What if a little tweak with the blue with color balance? Hope you don't mind.

HI Linda..this is beautiful....great work getting the light and tones. Nice work.

Even without seeing the rest of the wedding photographs I totally agree with you...this pose is awesome! I like it that the surrounding is all white. Good lighting and good dof with sharp details. Very well done, tfs.

I guess there's something wrong with me Linda, don't answer that:-) but I wouldn't class this a cheese shot, besides isn't she supposed to be smiling,it's her wedding day :-)I was interested in seeing some of your wedding shots taken in Mercer Park,to se how you interacted with the bride,if this one is any indication,I think she was in for some wonderful wedding images.TFS
