Shot on the fly....from a convertible, on top of the Houston Ship Channel Bridge, a view of downtown from 20 miles away, the Ship Channel on a hot hot Saturday Afternoon.
Texas is on fire, heat waves, fires, high winds, high temps. Today's high was 95...and it's APRIL people!.... The water temp down in Galveston was a balmy 80 degrees...unheard of!
Storms all over the south, hurricane season is about to begin...... no doubt...the heat is on....

Hi Linda,
The news are talking about big tornados, in your Texas! Hope you don't have damage at your home!
This view is awesome! Love the colors of the day and the buildings in superimposed in transparency through the rays of light.
Superb and dramatic image! Annie

Awesome image, and awesome write up. Here in the UK we are complaining that we have had Little rain for eight weeks and the temperatures are in the 18-23 range !!

Hi Linda you can feel the heat in this one, sort of eerie as well. Love the rays of light. I have one over there a few hours from Dallas, sent a text the other day saying they were getting tornado and severe storm warnings. Fiona

A very good panoramic shot. nice use of light and composition is also very good.

Sorry about all the fires you are having in Texas. I love the Houston area, I used to visit a lot when I lived in New Orleans. This is a very nice capture of the downtown and I can almost feel the heat and humidity. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.

Great shot Linda. You can feel the heat rising. Love the rays coming through the clouds. Wonderful lighting and a nice composition. Well done. TFS, Lori
