[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The view from the East Side, the petrochemical area of Houston, on an overpass over a train yard. The humidity here is killin' us! With temps 98F or better, with a heat index of 110F we are sweltering here. It's even too hot to go to the beach! More heat advisories, more steamy clouds rising.
Hope you all have a great day!
This is a single image processed 3 ways in my HDR program.
Linda

something about this shot i like linda can,t decide what something drag me to it again and again could be the natural look you have achieved using hdr but then again the sky is fantastic as is the pov just a all round good image
tfs regards bryan

Hi Linda,
This is agreat picture telling a story. The bright light , the high contrast it all contrubutes to a wonderful view, despite the unnatural area, like this kind of pictures. Excellent coposition using the rule of thirds, the perfect clouds are an imprortant detail in this view. Great post my dear friend.

Hello Linda, Great feeling of Space, and that terrific sky.
Industrial Photography at its best.
Nice Work.

Hi Linda,
I like how the central rail line divides the two man made power forces, oil & electricity, while mother natures powerful sky overpowers both of them.
Great composition of this industrial site, I like how the lines, lead the eye into each power force, & how you have captured the light & shadows.

Hi Linda,
I like the mood of the dark clouds and the desolated train yard. It gives it that tough feel to it. I am not sure if it is the HDR or the focus, but I am missing that real sharpness. It all feels a bit blurry.
TFS,
Niek

very nice image and tastefully processed. i like the vignette and the slight color saturation.

Boa tarde Linda
This is a very different landscape of your...but the sky drama is very close to you.You work light well and this has a very ttractve visual impact. You dominate the HDR work and I like the strong contrast you achieved, strong but not too much.

Linda, good for you in getting outdoors in the suffering heat to capture what I think is a GREAT image. The dramatic sky MAKES the entire photo!!! One of these days I am going to learn how to use that HDR program you mention. Got any tips on where I can find info on where or how to download this program?

Cheers, JoeGoff, Louisville, KY, where we had 103 degree temps, 110% humidity, and killer heat for several days. I elected to stay in my air conditioned condo. No photos are worth heat exhaustion. But... good for your bravery!!!

Hi Linda. beautiful tones and perspective...you have a great way of making your pictures come alive..nice work.

Nicely balanced shot here Linda.. Great POV and wonderful sky... thanks for sharing my friend. Is it hard to do those HDR shots in a programme.. is it one I would like, by just pressing a button and hey presto, there is your wonderful HDR shot ? YES ? lol...

Hi Linda,

I think that this is a brilliant image not picturesque as it is a industrial scene but it very lovely all the same. The dof is very good I love the layers of cloud the colours are very nice the details are sharp. The only problem I have with this shot is the darker areas around the corners was this part of the pp work you did as I have noticed it in some of your other work.

Regards
Jon

Another fine, well composed shot Linda,

Everything converges into the same point of infinity, even the clouds.
I think it's this very thing that makes it comfortable to the eye. It takes us all back to our younger days in the art class when we were taught perspective, dimension, scale and and depth.

Cheers,

Martin
