Very skillfull moment love the expressions as well as the action captured!

Nice try to capture the moment...but you do have a few problems with this picture. First one and most important, it's out of focus...you still see the expression on the faces...but it's out of focus...so a minus.

2 it's overexposed, you're already loosing your white detail..better underexpose then push your dark values up...works everytime, specially under available daylight.

You want to take action shot...try to keep your Asa close to 800, it will give you speed, and don't need has much light, and result are perfectly acceptable as grain quality.

1/1000 of sec is too much speed...you're not photographing racing car...1/500 is more than plenty to freeze the action.

So if you would have gain with the higher asa..1 stop, plus cut down on exposure..exposed for whites, that one more stop..maybe a bit more...well it's 2 extra stop that you can dedicate for aperture.. f/11 would have gave you more depth, and following the action, it give you more forgiveness into getting it properly focus.

Now has the scene, was that part of a pratice, cause the people in the behind scene, seem to pay no attention to what is going on.....they're part of the image....so important too.

As for the action capture....for action it's little static...try to capture the player as their feets are off the ground...like jumping and such. Cheers.
