This was taken at Swan Lake Iris Gardens in Sumter, South Carolina. A wonderful botanical garden that is home to all eight species of swans known. I had never seen swans up close and I was fascinated by them. And amazed. They can definitely do some odd things with those long necks.

This is my contribution to the Friday theme - Twisted.

hello shelly..very nice photo..like it..

Hello Shelly, a good interpretation of the theme with the swan and its amazing neck!
It is a lovely study, good light, sharpness and colours.
And wow what BIG feet!No wonder they are able to swim so quickly.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hello Shelly,

A great addition to the theme!
Very interesting pov, catching the swan not only twisting but with its leg over its back!

The details of the feathers show good texture and the light, besides reflecting on the water, creates a lovely dappled effect on the swan.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Shelly, this one really puts a kink in my neck!!! :) A really great idea for the theme. Very beautifully done, great colors and detail. I wish I lived by a lake with these beautiful swans around. Keep well!!

Hi Shelly,

Nice to see you here on TL too :-)
And I like this picture of your "twisted" swan, I think that swans are beautiful birds, and when I see them (that's not very often I must say...) they are not so busy like this one, it's different, colours are beautiful and I like it!
