As I am trying to upload this, he is hanging on my arm, putting things in his mouth he has no business eating and growling at me. Arrrrggggghhh!!

I shot this at 800 ISO, converted it from color to B&W, did a soft focus around him and sharpened the eyes and added some contrast. I always lose my EXIF data when I bounce back and forth through different programs. I also reduced noise in NeatImage and framed it in Photofiltre. Now I have to get him out of my nightstand drawers... arrrggghh.

Howdy Shelly!
Amazing girl. Wonderful princess. Nice portrait.

He is very precious Shelly... would love to see more of his hair which appears to be very fine and a bit curly. :) Captivating eyes... what a nice "ball and chain" to have close to your heart. TFS

Hi Shelly,
To be honest, this portrait isn't sharp, for some reason the focus isn't right, the eyes are a bit blurred. So, this is quite a harsh observation from my side. Nevertheless the pose is priceless, the crop perfect. Anyway I can understand why you like this picture, but technical it isn't perfect.

Dear Shelly OBrien!
Amazing face.
Wonderful eyes.
Excellent child.
Good B/W portrait.
Nice frame.

Hi Shelly

No I just dont believe you , butter wouldnt melt in his mouth lol.

Now I agree with Hansie that its not really sharp... but.. the catchlight is good and I actually think the softness makes for a nice dreamy feel to this portrait. Very well suited to B/W too

TSF kind regards Helen

Hi Shelly
Having been in the service, start drilling him military style, he might enjoy it. Hop to it one two, one two.
The eyes on that kid are absolutely beautiful.
Perhaps not as sharp as it should be but hey with a kid that is constantly moving, my hat's off to ya, I think you did great.

HI Shelly..nice pose and composition...great black and white tones...nice shot.

A beautiful portrait of your "ball & chain" Shelly, the most angelic face he has with his big eyes, long lashes and curly hair. I am no longer fooled, they can be a lot of work; however it is all worth it (am I saying in hindsight).
I am not looking for technical perfection in portraits like this, it either touches me or it does not, and this one sure does, soft focus or not.
