I was in San Juan eight years ago. I rented a car for a couple of weeks and circumnavigated the island, before
spending some time on the adjacent island of Culebra.
What I remember most was the friendliness and charm of
the people. I dread to think what has happened to many
of those whom I had met and whose company I so enjoyed.
May the solitary-star flag wave long over El Morro citadel and the people of Puerto Rico! |
