[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I've had the good fortune to drink many a mojito at the famous Bodeguita del Medio on several sojourns in Havana... Hemmingway's favorite watering hole for mojitos....; he preferred the daiquiri's at the Floridita just up the block. Well, I never thought that I'd get a better mojito than those in Cuba, but I was mistaken. The mojito I got at this bar (name forgotten) was, to date, the best! Sorry I can't remember its name, but if you're in San Juan, it's onthe corner of Calle San Francisco and Calle Tanca in Old San Juan. In Havana I paid $1 per mojito in 2001; here it set me back $8! But after three of these, you only have to call for your Rolls Royce to escort you back to the hotel. In Havana, ya gotta take a 1957 Chevrolet taxi. Actually, I prefer the Chevy! |

Hi Michael,
All I can say is, "I'll have one of what he's having!" Very detailed shot that captures the essence of your subject perfectly. I like how you've captured the liquor bottles in the background and the DOF.
Regards,
Werner
