[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The only time I ever delete a file is it if it's not sharp, but since I found Lightroom, I have dug out old files that I could not save previously and have given them a whirl in Lightroom and WOW... love the fact that I can now bring forward photos that I had given up on, sadly, because they were too dark and noisy. This was taken in NYC in 2008, but processed today, June 16, 2012. So glad I saved my RAW files...

Hi Linda.

Impressive soft tones, i like the darkened ring around the subject and the light across the material on the arms. TFS

I really have to look into Lightroom. You (and Lightroom) did a wonderful job with this! I like the composition, the soft lighting and focus. Good dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

Hi Linda

I also delete unsharp files when shooting, but sometimes what look sharp in the display monitor is in face blurred. If its the only shot I have from that angle I still keep it. This man has a hard, no nonsense face, so it seems a little incongruous that he would care about animals. But you might have caught him at a bad moment, or when hes thinking about that unpaid invoice from one of his customers, so we cant judge too quickly! Good pp work & excellent tonal range & sharpness. Tfs!

Sometimes, light makes the picture and this picture is no exception, Linda B-)

Wonderful control on light and well balanced exposure give the picture an exceptional look.
Your choice going for a B/W version is indeed well thought and focus is good in the picture as well.
The skin tones are natural and contrast against a darker BG is the picture is amazing.

Nice work!

Thanks and regards,
