Tricia and I stopped in a local coffee shop after walking "down the Cape" (good grief!) and had a bagel with hummus and a coffee. I noticed at the bar people just going about their lives, and they do this everyday! How cool! So I took this shot and converted to TIFF and merged three levels in HDR. I love scenes like this, people just doing what they do.
The lighting in the coffee shop was low, as we were in the back section, with Elvis. I used the table for placement of the camera to get this shot!

Hi Linda..your tones are great in these shots. You were fortunate that these people don't move very fast!....

Hi Linda
yes sometime we notice few things which r very common in our surrounding and they have great impact to photograph.
U've done a great job of doing HDR it really helped to show the dark areas
Tonnes r beautifully managed to show the play of light and shadows

Hi Linda

Yes, in Las Vegas inside the Pyramid, I used a table, too, as an improvised tripod, & spare change to angle it just the way I wanted. (I'd stack quarters under the camera, until the horizon was just right). A superb indoor daily life scene, with excellent color & diffused light. Tfs!

Hi LInda,
Very interesting subject.
One coffee shop, three solitudes!
HDR is well processed for deep colors. I like the light surrounding the heads, especially on the woman. And I have a weakness for the magenta and red, this is an excellent colored harmony, so "techno"! Excellent work with simple tools!
Unfortunately, I don't able to upload any photo or WS since Two days. I contacted the administrator...I'm waiting for help!

Ah, stunning use of HDR to create a rich color/light quality for this subject/composition, making it feel quite alive, even in a flat image. I'm a bit distracted by the white light fixture above the man's head, but I do like the backlit effect of the purple wall. It's interesting to see how complete strangers share space together while ignoring each other:) This is a modern "Rockwell" scene!
