[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at the 54th annual Chicago Air and Water show. This is a shot of the blue angels. I'm not into aviation a whole lot, but wanted to try and make it out to the show this year and try to get some good shots. Unfortunately, I didn't have my monopod, but I did end up taking about 400 shots all together.

I cropped the photo significantly. I used Nik define to reduce any noise. I then used Nik Viveza and create control points around the sky and increased the brightness and vibrancy. I created control points around the aircraft and increased the vibrancy and brightness as well. Finally I used Nik Sharpener to increase the sharpness on the image overall.

Awesome capture of the Blue Angels! Love the formation with their tailhooks and landing gear down. Great lightign and dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors with good saturation. Well done, tfs.

This is just a fantastic capture, Kurt!

Like the details you managed to fetch in this shot.
The contrast against a deep blue sky is superb and colors are original.
Light and exposure are also well handled.
Nice work.

Greetings,
Paras

Hi Kurt.

I so like the light bouncing off the tops of these flyers, the livery colours are so exciting. The angle you took this and the fact the wheeels are down give this much intrigue and appeal, very well seen and taken. tfs

Kurt,
A great capture of the Blue Angels in Chicago with the apparently midday lighting working well here flying in step formation. Strong saturation and good detail on the aircraft.

I did not get a chance to go downtown to shoot them, but where we live south of the city I saw the #6 doing its famous fast fly in to join the main four group.

Very Nicely Don
