This pelican is dedicated to Loribird who recently joined TL. Lori shares the same passion as all of us here. Wishing her the best as she grows and learns with TL.

Enjoy your day !

PS--- Pelicans can hold over 3 gallons of water in their pouches.... They have air sacks beneath their skin and in their bones that make them very buoyant. They incubate their eggs in an unusual manner; they cover them with their webbed feet.

Hi Juliet,
Very sharp details on the plumage of this pelican.
Very pleasant colors and a nice profile of the bird floating on this limpid clear water.
Very nice vivid colors, perfect lighting and impeccable sharpness.
My best wishes,

Francis Xavier

Hello Julie

hi Juliet the details herte are very good i also like the greeness of the water wich makes it a very natural image
tfs regards bryan

Another lovely shot where you beautifully present this pelican in a black bordered frame, Julie!

The focus on the bird is amazing, and colors are justw onderful.
The exposure is well handled and mirror-reflection on the surface of the waters is well seen.
Good work!

Best regards,

I can see the water droplets on the back of this pelican, very nicely captured and great composition. The beautiful natural colors really shows. Well done, tfs.

Hi Julie.
A lovely dedication and beautiful way of welcoming Lori to TL.
Here you presented this pelican which is shot with superb sharpness and details captured under some fine lighting condition.
My Best Regards

Hello Julie,

This is a fine capture of the pelican, revealing fine details of textures, shape and pattern.
My one suggestion would be to have more space in front of the bird so that it has room into which to move.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
