[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Holy Christmas Eve gigantic ice storm that knocked out electric power all over Ontario, leaving the largest, most densely populated municipal area without light and heat for several days with temperatures plunging to -10 to -15 C.
This is the original version, a bit lighter than the previous post. Perhaps you like this better.
Note to bobsmith: the hydro wires are purposely left in, because on the original large file you can see the droplets of ice on them. Unfortunately the optimized version these are not distinguishable. |

Hi Janos
I stand by my previous comments. An excellent photo that portrays the conditions and mood beautifully.
Having read your note I fully understand why you left the wires in. Personally I like notes and explanations.
I say again an excellent photograph. The biggest complement I can pay is by saying that i wish I was there. Thanks for re-posting.
Hi Janos,
Fantastic work. The frozen branches extremly attract the eyes. Very well managed the frame, lights , colors and composition very well done.
Best regards.

Hi Janos, It was not a great Christmas Holiday in Ontario in 2013. My family members were also affected by the surprise too in Toronto. I could see how serious this ice storm damaged the city with this image. We had one in 1998 and we had no power for 2 weeks in our area. An Awful experience. You have demonstrated this disaster with great clarity and details. Thank for sharing
Anna
