I have no idea why, I might be tired, but this photo brought tears to my eyes...it's THAT good...OMG.... How I would have loved to have taken this shot! With ALL the focus pulled to his right eye, the natural expression, the BW, the deep blur in the BG, it is excellent in everyway! You get an award for this!

Hello Annie,

To me, this is a much kinder shot.
The b/g does not fight with the image but enhances it.
The quality of the exposure, with fine details, is excellent. The sharp focus is clearly on the eyes, where the catchlight adds character and emphasises that wonderful, child-like intensity of attention.

Hi Annie...nice portrait of your grandson...well composed with nice details. I would not go so sharp with the eyes and not sharpen the whites...I like the shot and his pensive expression.
