[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this on a lovely Sunday afternoon just over a week ago. It was really our last nice autumn day, and so I took advantage of it and got out for a walk along the river.
This guard rail between the street and the walking trail caught my eye, as the repeating posts went around the curve.

Hi Trudy,
A nice composition of this road leading to a nice curve towards the left!
Beautiful play with shadows and glorious extreme right hand lighting.
An agreeable POV and a considerable DOF.
Great details in the wooden boards and the Autumn foliage in the side way of the road where the two bikers are giving life to the composition.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Hello Trudy,

I love to see shadows in photography, especially when they make a strong pattern, as here! The curved fence, emerging from the bottom l/h corner, is delightful, as it sweeps round the frame to a strong disappearing point.
There is a strong sense of perspective, whilst the cyclists add scale and human interest.

For me, it is a little dark.
I have lightened it in a w/s to make the contrast between the light and the shadows stronger. I hope you like it.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Trudy

Well noticed and taken.
I have added a workshop, hope you don't mind, just increased contrast and converted to B&W.

Hi Trudy
Good observation i really like how the guard rails leads you in and perfectly leads out while filling the frame beautifully.

I agree with Derek on cloning out the bicycle riders :)

Hi Trudy, great perspective here , that makes the shot very interesting and kind of unique presented as such , i like how the rail almost touches the frame on its long course ending in the 2/3rd , i tend to agree with Beverley about the lighting , a bit more light overall i'd say and i also would keep the two cyclists in for human interest but with a wee bit more space above them though , you had an eye for this my friend , frankly i would have not thought of that , good idea !
Take care amiga,
Carol

maybe a bit too dark but wonderful anyway
Very beautiful curves

Bonjour Trudy,
