Just a fun photo shoot, nothing serious.

Lighting setup;
32 inch Umbrella light in room behind the young lady acting as my "Kicker" light.
60 inch umbrella light, camera right behind the young man as my main light.

B/W conversion using two different gradient maps with curves and selective colors using only gray, white and black.

Cheers

Hello,

Nothing serious but pure picture: sharpness, B&W tonals, the shadows, the story we can imagine and all the details around.

Very nice !

Jean-Marc

Hello Mike,
Classic BW movie shot :-)
Sharp, nice details.
Wish you happy new year.

Very professional work here and nice to see an interaction between two models like this. Actually it brings to mind a still from a Bollywood movie, I almost expect them to start singing and dancing in the rain, next ...!

Nice work on your set even if the candles weren't lit (did she eat the food or was it recycled stuff from the refrigerator?) and very nice work on the b&w conversion, I really have to figure that one out, I haven't a clue how to do it yet.

Nice pose and a good mood here, Mike. I like her attitude here, and both look like very beautiful young people. B&W works cool (interesting way of converting the colour original, btw). One little nit-pick to get my critiquing year going: the position of the candle interferes too much with the man's arm, I think you should have moved it a bit. Also: the candle is not lit. How unromantic ;o)).
Anyway bro, TFS!

Very fun picture you have, not like any I have really seen before on this site I believe. I like the shot you have and unfortunately I know the face she is making all too well from my fiancee when I misbehave. TFS.

nothing serious ?
good fun, so !
the contrasts are excellent, on the subject, but in the scenery too !

Hi Mike & Happy New Year!

Good sharpness, contrast & tonal range in this dramatic b&w image. Tfs!

HAHA! Love her hand grabbing the tie! Excellent BW shot, love the mood, but also the sly smile on her face! She knows who is in charge!

Nice work Mike, I love a shot that tells a story. The lighting is wonderful and the B&W tones and contrast are perfect. You might see passion, I see a woman who is mad
