[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went on a camping trip for the last week and a half, and the Okanagan in B.C. is always a great place to be. First stop on our trip was Vernon, and we only ended up staying for one night, because the campsite that they gave us was smaller than the shoulder of most highways. Don't recommend Dutch's campground. Anyways, I woke up there and it was really early, like 5:00 a.m., but I couldn't sleep so I headed down to Kalamalka lake. It was still a while before the sun was going to peak over the mountains, so I decided to head back and pack up our stuff, hoping to find another campsite there, but it didn't happen.

I think that the image could be a bit sharper, and the colors could be more vibrant, but a good POV.

A great shot, well worth the effort of getting up so early!
I like the DOF, and your composition is excellent. Would have been nicer without the birds I think, but nevertheless a good shot!

The photo''to be honest I have seen a few like this before .. but you handled well.
Now .. try next time to remember the photograph rule of lead-in lines.

The seagulls in the tip of the pier give a show the part.

Dave this province isn't big enough for the two of us ;-)
I suppose we could come to some understanding...perhaps you be B.C's Canon guy and I'll represent Nikon. All kidding aside, I love this shot. First, good for you for getting up so early (Something I'm incapable of). The composition and the lighting are great here. Great use of the vertical format as well. I love the gulls at the end of the dock and the 'Shallow Water' really leads us into the frame. Nice work.
