[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The fence holes were too small for the 70-200mm F/2.8 L to fit through as to why you are seeing grey angle lines. I like the effect.

This Bald Eagle will never fly do to an injury sustained on one of it's wings. 14 years ago I captured this eagle on film which is posted in Trek Nature, named "Mr Eagle eye, Callies request." you'll see it on my intro page.
I was happy to see that he/she was still alive. As you can see as well, they file their beaks, too bad.
Also on Trek Nature you'll see an up close version of this portrait, named, "The Return of Mr Eagle Eye." When cropping using images from a DSLR, not only does the Cmos size has a factor on the percentage of crop, so does the quality of glass used. L series for Canon or VR series for Nikon.

This Bald Eagle is located at the Mountsberg Wildlife Center in Campbellville Ontario.

In CS2, a slight crop for this portrait, mat and name.

Mike

Beautiful capture, Mike. Nice colours and showing a lot of details. Maybe a bit of lack of sharpness on the beak but great sharpness on the eyes. Well done!

Great eye contact with the camera Mike. The black matt suits this really well. How's your back these days. When are you due for the surgery?

awsome sharpness!! Absolutely beautiful, colour and frame works very well to this photo. Nice!!

Mike

Exelent.

Hi,

Great shot, image quality is very good, quality of the lens realy shows. I like the natural colors that are spot on and the personality in the expression of the eagle.

The VR on the Nikon lenses means they have vibration reduction just like IS with canon. Altought VR is mostly on the better lenses it is not synonymous for Nikon's best glass like I beleive the L is for Cannon.

TFS,
Pedro

You're absolutely right Mike: the blurry fence isn't disturbing at all, and it doesn't really show on the face. What a stunning portrait this is! Very well done, TFS, GTF.

This is an absolute stunner. Love it.

Hello Mike!

Thank God , there was a fence between you two !
What an intimidating look!

But most likely, what a beautiful photo. Never mind the lines. It is perfect to me !
Bravo!
Robert

Hi Mike,
superp shot of this eagle, I met him in Campleville, and he is not always easy to capture through the fence. Superp sharpness, Great DOF and lovely colors.
Beautiful prsented in this dark frame.
Have a great weekend.

LOL, you should have gotten the F4, it is not as wide, it might have fit through the fence!!! Superb shot, absolutely stunning! Very well anchored, a perfect light. A nice tribute to the "L" series!

BRILLIANT!!! Awesome photo, only one tiny little gripe, you ought to have used your reflectors to remove the shade on the right side of his face, but extremely beautiful as is.

jaco

wow another 10/10 my sincere congratulations,

Wow what an intense gaze, great clarity and sharpness, excellent work. I really like this eagle, I can't wait until the Oregon Zoo gets their eagle exhibit accessable again.
