The Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall (vertical height along with flow rate) in North America.Together with the American Falls and comparatively small Bridal Veil Falls, they comprise the Niagara Falls which forms the highest flow rate of any waterfalls in the world and have a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m).They are located on the Niagara River that drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, and are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.

Hi David,
A beautiful panorama of these waterfalls and the surrounding Autumn trees. Nice vivid colors. Quite a sharp image with a good HDR treatment.
I like the high POV.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi David,

Nicely done with the wonderful fall foliage caught in the lower right. The exposure is just right to get the perfectly saturated colors. The fog coming from the bottom of the falls shows the power of the water at Horseshoe Falls. I think this is the second shot of the falls I have seen today - I may have to put up a shot I took about this time last year for comparison!

Have a nice day,

Hi David,

Wonderfull view of the waterfalls, spectacular shot.
The foreground with the splendid colors and the background (building) are
amazing.Excellent HDR picture, congratulations.
Great job, TFS.
My best regards.

Olá david
Ilike the angle you chose and the strong colors of leaves that make a window to thw water. You get thhe beauty of the place with a good sharpness and light.
Um abraço

Hello David, a point of view of the falls that I have not seen before.
It is a good composition making the most of the natural curve of the river as a lead in line.I prefer this shot to yesterdays, as you have the tall buildings to the side so they do not dominate the picture and detract from the phenomena that are the Falls.
The trees in their autumn colours are a good complement to the pale colours of the sky and the water.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi David,

Nice POV, but I think the colours are too saturated and looks kind of not natural.

Hello David, a lovely example of HDR treatment, the vibrant colours work well for me.

Hello David,
That's a wonderful blend of natural life togehter with modern life. The buildings in the background are looking fantastic and the autumn colors on trees with water fall is fabulous. A beautiful shot in fine details. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,

HI David...excellent tones and colors in this shot...perfect focus and very well composed.

Bonsoir David,

Good picture of the Niagara Falls. The HDR treatement did help to bring details in most parts of the image, including the bright sky. A bit of color saturation also brougth some color contrast to the soft light. Good work and TFS

I beleive HDR is an excellent tool, but U-Points in Nikon Capture NX2 (you can also use a plug-in in photoshop called Viveza 2 and made by Nik Software, nothing to do with Nikon, but they did develop parts of Capture NX) that makes miracle by locally adjusting image's values as lightness, contrast, saturation.... A wonderfull tool (Either Capture NX2 or Viveza 2). I did two WS to illustrate the possibilities.

Hi David

The slight oversaturation doesn't bother me. This is TL, not TE! A bit of pixellation is visible in the sky. I like Athila's ws, but it hasn't addressed this, only the slight oe, & saturation. Maybe a very light blur, or 'dust & scratches' or neat image? Anyway an awesome view of the Falls & thx for uploading.

Perfect photo!!

Hi Dave
This shot caught my eye as I perused the gallery. The colours rich and red on the right and the power of the blue water on the left giving an uneven balance to the image, but it works; similarly, the balance between nature's extreme power of water versus man's power to build (some might say fine) structures in the background.
Great shot.

Good morning David,

I had the opportunity during a visit here to find me in the middle of the falls and the fly is great, but too touristy
Superb shot fall, and I see that there are other towers that rise beside the one with the panoramic restaurant.
Saturated colors are beautiful effect.
Thank you sharing
