|The last few years we have been lucky enough to have a pair of nesting Bald Eagles in Spaniard's Bay, the town where I was born. I don't recall anyone every seeing their babies, until last year.|
Last year we were very lucky, the pair had three babies and they survied!
The day this picture was taken all three of the young eaglets where at a small pond that is feed by a river that is near their nesting grounds. The pond then feeds into the ocean. This area is teaming with life.
The eaglets where investigting their surroundings and what looked like their first attempts at fishing.
They had no fear of humans, all day they stayed in the area and I figure there must have been close to a hundred people stop to take their pictures.
This picture was taken by my husband and he was no more than 12 feet away from him. I will be posting more pictures of the eagles and hopefully this spring we will see them again and will be able to snap more beautiful pictures.
