Taken during the summer - another blue hour photo. Great angles with the Sigma 10-20 at the 10mm end. A 30 second exposure probably with f22 or so for starlights.

The lighting decorations were to mark Ramadan which was happening at the time. The building is a hotel by the Ibn Battuta mall - Ibn Battuta being a famous Arab explorer from many many years ago.

What a great shot David! Super sharp, excellent star pattern on the lights! I didn't get any night shots this trip...my buddy that I normally shoot with was almost killed in a motorcycle wreck and she was in a wheelchair this time. So I stayed in with her. Love that BLUE BLUE sky!

Wow, incredible architecture! and your take on it is fantastic! Your trademark blue hour colors. It is perfectly sharp, crisp and clear. Love the wide angle effects too.

The blue hour is fantastically captured with outstanding focus and sharpness of this amazing building, DAvid!

Amazing color contrasts and well shown DOF with a nice POv where the palm tree makes wonders here.
The colors are natural and beautifully shared in this shot.
Excellent work as usual!

Hello David,
If you allow me, I want to call it futuristic "Arc de Triomphe". Modern architecture is nicely blended in older philosophy here. And your composition is fantastic. Such a crisp image after sunset reflects impeccable skill of your composition. Excellent snapshot, well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,

Impressive sharpness adds a tactile sense to this shot - it looks "prickly". The fronds of the palm, the the "teeth" in the arch and the sharp edges to the buildings create this effect, I think. Anyway I like it very much.

Hi David, now that is one sharp and clear shot. Love the blue sky with the golden lights and buildings. Fiona

Hi David,,
WoW! Another beautiful architecture and composition on a blue hour picture,
Great saturation of colors and light with a great contrast,
A well taken picture with a tripod and sharp presentation.
very well done.

Hello David

A great pov in a extra sharp image. Wow, The Blue Hour capture makes the image really work. Without it, I don't think it would work as well. As always your Pro images set the standard for the rest of us.

Super shot I love the sharpness, golden colour and green arches. The 10mm lens has really created a very pleasing perspective. Good work

Hi David,

I could easily recognize this photo ...it's your signature...blue hour, wide angle, long exposure...you are a champion for this kind of image!
I like your low POV, composition and the sparkles...in fact, all in this photo!

Bonjour David,

Dubai being in recent developement, there is some wonderfull architecture to take picture of. With your photographic experience, the control you developed in using your predilection tool (the 10-20mm), your ability and patience to wait for a perfect balance between the ambiant light and the blue light. You managed to record brillant image of that arch and its environement. Excellent work and TFS

Love the blue sky. Great use of your Sigma.
