I love Starbucks coffee, Vanilla Latte is my favourite :)

interesting shot. you could have removed the tissue, straw and sugar to highlight the coffee.

Hi Mark

I like the concept - I've done it myself a few times and I do like the shallow DOF effect.

To a degree this has a snapshot feel, a "playing with my camera" kind of sense to it. The Starbucks cups aren't quite perpendicular in the frame - although that's partly due to curvature from the wide lens - and the lighting is less than ideal (deep shadows in the eyes of the two women in the background.) But considering the slow shutter speed it has nice sharpness and a nice warm colour temperature.

Have to wonder why you used a UV filter for an indoors shot? Wouldn't it just reduce the light without any benefit?
