It was the year 2065 A.D, 3pm on a Wednesday April the 15th when the war to end all wars started.
It was on this day the radio broadcast was heard that the last treaty was broken,
that the High Council for World Peace no longer existed, that all nations are left alone to defend its own territory.

The war to end all wars.

It was on this day, that the sky turned red, the earth trembled and cracked, the result of 100 megaton thermonculear warheads vaporizing cities, when mushroom clouds miles high can be seen...for the first and last time by anybody near and far.

It was on this day when the extinction of the human race started.

This is just a story i hope i will never see in my lifetime or anybody's lifetime.
I always fancy a sci-fi story for a photo, a mobile crane on this case.

To make the fireball, a cauliflower shot is used.
Its just a cauliflower pasted and tweaked to all sorts of effects on CS4. I figured a cauliflower or a broccoli looked like a nuclear mushroom cloud.

the dust cloud below are cauliflower too.
They make good subjects and they taste good.

Have a nice day!

Atom bombs, nuclear, war, not what we want but we will no doubt get someday, I doubt I'll be around to see it.
The army vehicule track makes it almost realistic.
The city in the distance, the glare of the bombs and especially the red sky makes the imaginative look real.
Fantastic work Ian

Hi Ian,
Cauliflower? OH MY your skill is amazing.. I would have never guessed in a million years it was the veggies that destroyed us!
I'm still amazed not only you think to use cauliflower but how it looks so much like a mushroom cloud! ha I guess mushrooms would not have worked here LOLOLOLOLOL

Hello Ian

At first glance you had me. The image created is very prophetic and scary. Still on the PP side, this is a masterpiece. Great use of the ordinary to create the extraordinary. Great work
