THE TALE OF KING FAHD FOUNTAIN

One day the climate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia rose to history high (more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit). The sweltering heat enveloped the whole kingdom. The plant withered, the oases dried up, and eventually the camels and sheep died of dehydration. There was chaos in the whole Kingdom. The panic-stricken people didn’t know what to do.

Then the King gathered every man from every corners of his kingdom and ordered them to build a fountain so high that it can reach the sun to cool it down and stop a possible kingdom-wide drought. Therefore, all men worked day and night until they finished the fountain that the King ordered them to build.

The next morning, the kingdom enjoyed a very fine weather.

That is how King Fahd fountain, the highest seawater fountain in the world, was built.

TRUTH

At sunset, I was at a perfect location where the setting sun seemed to be “showered” by the fountain. It was a perfect location. I even have to pay a 2 riyals/hour parking fee just to be on that seaside park, but that’s nothing for this awesome sunset capture.

The body of water on the foreground is the world-famous RED SEA (It aint red, OK?)
