....in Tripoli , northern Lebanon ( Liban-Nord ) , indeed tomorrow Sunday May 30th is voting day for Tripoli and the region , as is the case municipal elections are held every 6 years in the country , they are taking place in 4 stages , first Mt-Lebanon had theirs in early May , followed by Beirut and the Bekaa Valley in the east , Saida and Liban-Sud last weekend and tomorrow in Tripoli , in this picture is one of the candidates whose name i have no idea about , the young man at his window looks down on the poster of his favorite , buildings throughout the town had/have posters of the to be-elected councillors all over them , hard cover , paper posters even tiny ones tacked on walls along sidewalks , everywhere they could be put up they were and more were still being pasted , nailed ,tacked , roped as in this photo at the time of our visit, this photograph was taken in the port town of Al Mina just to the west of Tripoli .This year 3,331,000 Lebanese voters have been registered to vote in 963 municipalities , they are asked to produce their identity card or a valid passport to do so .Good luck to all .
Iso 80 , f/7.1 , 1/200 s on a so so day , i cropped this one to make it angular that is to say , at right angles well along the horizontal and vertical lines of the windows , not sure whether the poster and/or the man are/is placed according the rule of thirds here , my intention is more esthetic and harmonious than rule-abiding , increase of exposure +1 , tweaks here and there , a little saturation and sharpening in Photoscape ,
thanks for looking,
