[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi everyone.
This is my first shot on TL. First I want to congratulate Adam for the new and wonderful site.
I took this shot while I was sitting in my car. This cat was staring at me so hard. I took a picture with a flash and I was amazed to discover what the flash made to the color of the eyes. I guess it's like the "red eye" effect in human photography. Well - when it comes to cats, it is probably a "blue eyes" effect.

Cute litle kitty Yitzhak. You are right about the eyes, the colour is amazing. Strange though usually the eyes become red on animals as well (it's actually the blod in the eyes that is reflected and makes them look red).

Glad to see you here. I'm looking forward to what you will post here. :)

Hi there Avigur! This one looks great, the cat seems to have some kind of pearls on it´s eyes, amazing! It´s good to know that the "red eye effect" is different on animals, at least on his little guy! After reading Zandra critique i have to consider the cat is from royalty because is blood must be blue to have the blue effect instead of the red one!

Congratulations for the first one!

I have seen natural blue-eyed husky dogs before but never a blue-eyed cat! :-)Interesting.

How bizarre these blue eyes - usually in the dark we see green eyes ..
but it looks nice and fits with the blue color of TL.

This has happened to me too when using a flash on my cat. The following article explains why:

Cute cat, and by the way, the fence has turned out really well.

Interesting effect... I find the color of the cat's eyes fits well with the fence !

Hi Yitzhak. That is one scary cat. The flash has had a weird effect on the cat but has made the fence look very interesting.

Yitzhak, good to see you here my friend. I'm wondering if my cat has been hanging out in Tel Aviv. :-) This one in your picture looks so much like my male cat "Lucky". Nice capture, I like the bright eyes and the bright fence behind the kitty.

Very interesting how the eyes of the cat has the same colour as the fence. The eyes are almost hypnotic. I am not surprised about the colour - it is exactly the same with my dog.

I thought that it was the reflection of the sky in the eyes. Strange and pleasant. Good composition.

Je pensais que c'était le reflet du ciel dans ses yeux. Étrange et agréable. Bonne composition.

amazing eyes in deed. I'm a big fan of cats, and your snap depicts cats specialties: discreetness and observation!

He has beatiful blues eyes, Yitzhak... and with the same color of the grid behind... Nice first TL shot!

Nice catch Yitzhak! The cat seems almost hypnotised by you - with pows under body, and eyes so wide open...:-) I like how the blue eyes match the blue fence. The composition and framing makes it /for me/ look as if sitting on a window. Wonderful capture!
