[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Masada is "a lozenge-shaped table-mountain" that is "lofty, isolated, and to all appearance impregnable.
The siege was chronicled by Flavius Josephus, a Jewish rebel leader captured by the Romans, in whose service he became a historian. According to Josephus the long siege by the troops of the Roman Empire led to the mass suicide of the Sicarii rebels and resident Jewish families of the Masada fortress. Masada has become a controversial event in Jewish history, with some regarding it as a place of reverence, commemorating fallen ancestors and their heroic struggle against oppression, and others regarding it as a warning against extremism and the refusal to compromise. |

I like your composition although the shot does not fully show the size of Masada. Its an incredible place and really well designed in many ways. We had the pleasure of being there just over a year ago. Thanks for the reminder.

What a wonderful landscape, I really like the way it was taken and the contrast between lights.

Strange Composition from this strange place. I like the composition, I don't know why it looks new to my brain! Well Done Arturo.
Hi Arturo,
A beautiful yet harsh land with an amazing natural tonal range. Good depth and a great POV.
