[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at a farewell cricket match for a friend of mine who is leaving Bahrain after 8 years. The ground is Awali Cricket Club which was founded in 1935 by Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) employees, it is the oldest cricket ground in the Middle East. I might add that he missed the ball! Having said that, I missed a fair few myself as it was my first cricket match in 9 years! The club was host to a visitng team from the MCC in 2005, their 70th anniversary. I wonder if they'll still be functioning for their 100th in 2035, I may not be around to see that, certainly won't be playing!

Nice capture mate!
Haven't indulged in cricket myself since moving from Australia to this region back in 1996 ;-) The gear minus my bat is collecting fungus ;-)

Thanks so much for the comment and notes on my 'fisherman' attempt!

Actually, never meant to upload this one ;-) was done in error hence the dejection lead to non-note posting...,

Yes, I'm very much in Bahrain and braving the summer ;-) by the way i had responded to your comment on my 'relax' picture but never got a response.

I can be contacted at '[email protected]'..., let's get together for a shoot ;-)
