[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an attempt to create a composite of 11 images taken of the same match stick as it burned down.
How?
Took a match, placed it between a clip, got the camera ready and focused on the match head, lit the match from another, used remote to trigger several shots. Converted from RAW to JPEG, used Photomatix Pro to create the HDR. You can use CS2 to do the same but I feel the tone mapping of Photomatix is much user friendly.

Wow, you worked hard to make this image, and I think it was definitely worth the trouble. The rich colors and layering of the flames is spectacular and I love the red textured background to make the match stand out. Good detail on the match head itself and I like how it's just below the middle. Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful way to show how a match burns. Really we miss a lot because our eyes can not capture all happening around us. A note would have been an added bonus... it is nice to see how others arrive at such beautiful results. Just a thought if you want to share with us your techniques. Thanks
