[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another one taken last weekend in the south of the island near the Tree of Life. I have tried to clone out some of the marks caused by dust on the CCD sensor, it has worked quite well in the sky but still have not quite got the one slightly to left of centre quite right. Oh well, I'm here to learn! I do love the wind blown patterns in sand.
Hope you like it, further advice welcomed. I'm going to buy myself an "Arctic Butterfly" sensor cleaner on the advice of Adri! Thanks to Adri (and Bluepianowaits, my son) for help in getting rid of blemishes.

OO I love this shot, really well balanced, superb detail and DOF giving texture both in the foreground sand and the rocks top right of the image, nice skyline and overall a superb posting my friend.

Like Helen, I really like this one. Like you, I love the parrerns in the sand, well shown in relief by the superb lighting and exposure which you have achieved here.

It really is a shame about the sensor dust. I shall be very interested to hear how you get on using the "Arctic Butterfly" as I have always been absolutely terrfified about putting anything near the sensor. I have used a big blower bulb thing a few times, just blown from the level of the lens flange, but never anything closer than that.

There's no doubt that sensor dust becomes much more apparent at small apertures - I have noticed it mainly taking macro shots at f/22 or f/25 - and of course is much more apparent on bland areas like sky. As I said, I'd be very interested to hear how you get on with that sensor cleaning device!
