A nuclear submarine in the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. The UK's fleet of 4 nuclear submarines are based at Faslane near Glasgow. They are called Vanguard, Vanquish, Victorious and Vengance and were built at Vickers in Barrow-in-Furness. They are equipped with Trident nuclear ballistic missiles and are capable of going round the world 40 times without refueling. There are 135 crew on board and are powered by a Rolls-Royce nuclear reactor. As an ex-Rolls-Royce aero-engineer it was the first time I had seen one of our subs.

Hi Jack,
It's a very interesting shot.
Great POV/DOF.

Hello Jack,
Interesting image with good details despite the distance.
