[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Henry VIII pub is located beside Hever Castle which was the home of Anne Boleyn, one of Henry's wives.

They say that the ghost of Henry VIII can often be seen wandering around the property looking for his pet white fox :)

Very clever and very humerous, Jack.
I can see old Coppernose looking around for his fox. I wonder if he found it?

Nice point of view here, and the classic 3/4 head on view adds depth to the image.
Light is perfectly even thanks to the clouded sky which has prevented any harsh shadows losing details in the fine tile and brickwork.
I like the way the pub is "cradled" in the frame by the road all around the bottom of the shot.

cheers,

martin

Hi Jack

I believe the ghost of Anne Boleyn can also be seen wandering around looking for her head.
Great shot with excellent detail.

England has so much wonderful architecture and horticulture. The sigma is a good wide angle lens. I have one myself. Nice pov and atmosphere.
regards
David

Hi Jack,
And I do too see old Henry, very nicely done. Clever composure as the road sweeps around the old pub.The architectural characteristics of the building are well shown together with its floral fittings. Plenty of character in these old "pubs"
