[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Second attempt at trying to recreate a scene that could have been taken in the 1930s (when Hall class steam locomotives went into substantial production). Probably more successful this time due to the absence of modern clutter in the background, although this locomotive is presently in post 1956 British Railways livery (BR logo on tender just out of shot).
Same post processing technique as yesterday – image tone mapped from 4 copies of the same RAW file post capture (-2/-1/0/+1 ev in this instance), then converted to sepia. |

The textures to the metal is so realistic, your image of steam is like a vision of yester year....you can see your enthusiasm of steam clearly.

Trains always good subject for a few photos.This is a very clever perspective and your sepia really put some old mood into the image.Train driver checking for signals maybe.Clarity and definition on the train brought out to perfection.
