[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another picture taken at New Tavern Fort, Gravesend.

Same technique as before - 7 bracketed shots taken from a tripod, then tone mapped into one image using Photomatix Pro 4.1. The effects of the software were more prevalent in this instance due to the high contrast between the sun bursting through the cloud, and the area surrounding the cannon being in the shade.

A slightly darker grey Cokin graduated filter (121) was used this time due to the sunburst.

Hi Rob.

Another mood treated scene for us to admire. The tones and textures are so hypnotic, once again you have managed to age this image perfectly. tfs

stv ;o))

Good PP work Robert. The grey filter creates a mood. These places look quite intimidating and foreboding, and from your PoV you have captured this feeling.Especially with the shells[?] standing at one side.
Such a small window to look and take aim through too.Not a place to be in times of attack.
Tfs, regards Jean.

I like the clarity and tones of you photo. Full of mood
um abraço

Hello Robert

This is about as good as it gets for the subject captured. How do you make a cannon appealing...........You create a dark mood. you did it very well as well as the angles captured in your POV. nice.
