[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At the moment I am going through my images of my trip to Scotland which I have not really had the time to do until now.

This one was taken from the end of the old stone pier on the Glengorm Estate on the Island of Mull in Scotland. The weather was unusually good for November and the Estate offers many interesting walks which we took advantage of during our stay. This old pier looks out to the Atlantic. It is crumbling away and not particularly safe to walk on but I managed to carefully get to the end to take this shot.

Image taken in RAW, converted to Photoshop for alteration of shadows and highlights. Curves used to lighten the sky and bring out the cloud more. Colour replaced in the red buoy and also on the grasses and bracken a little on the headland.

Hi Joy.

The detail of textures are what catch my eye, very impressive with the light over these foreground blocks, the lone bouy has its place here. tfs

Hello Joy,a very sharp shot, I feel as if I am actually standing there!I love all the detail of the fg rocks and seaweed.
This could only be Scotland, there is a certain feeling of wilderness about it, hard to define.
My eyes keep coming back to the buoy, and then looking beyond to the open sea.Good shot.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Not an easy photograph to edit. I was looking for names and places from your photos of Scotland. I won a trip there for a family 4 in 2008. Airfare from USA (Calif.)car, hotel and food. A family of 4 traveling in Scotland can be expensive for US Citizen due the exchange rate. You did well here with PS and I enjoyed your other photos. Cheers

Joy,

This will be a perfect opportunity for a nice HDR shot. Nevertheless, you took a great advantage of the river lines and contrasts.
TFS,
Wellington

I like the way the lines are all converging to a distant point. Good lighting and dof with nice details. Wonderful colors with good saturation. Very well done, tfs.

A characteristic shot of Scotland with an inlet and rocky terrain. Nice composition although I would like to have seen a bit more of the cliff on the right and less on the left. I look forward to seeing your other Scottish shots.
regards
David
