[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken hand-held from the deck of our cruise ship somewhere near the Cayman Islands a moment before sunset. Luckily the sea was so calm that it was as if I were standing on dry land - not enough movement to cause any unwelcome shake. I was experimenting with different aperture and shutter speed settings. This one at f/11 and 1/80 sec. seems to have provided good detail of the water's surface as well as a sharply edged sun. Very little PP work, as the colors were pretty astounding naturally.

Imagem bem composta, o sol está bem posicionado, e boa combinação de cores quentes e frias.
Você utilizou ótima abertura do diafragma, Sandy... bem apropriada para esse tipo de cenário.

Hi Sandy,
It doesn't get any better than this. Well seen and displayed ! TFS Julie

Hi Sandy,
Very nice sunset! Must have been wonderful to watch in real-life, especially from a cruise ship! The horizon looks perfectly straight and the placement of the sun is excellent. I like how defined it looks, especially with the way the light cloud coverage is diffusing it ever so slightly. Simple, effective and powerful - A real winner in my books. Well photographed.

Scott.

Hi Sandy,
Again, a composition with some details and fabulous colors.
Beautiful picture. Looks like a ready-made picture frame.

Hi Sandy
Wonderful sunset on the Caribbean sky!
Great colors and light!

This looks absolutely calm, serene and peaceful Sandy .. I can almost imagine being there and watching that sun sink into the ocean. I love the softness of the muted colors in this shot, and mostly the gradient of colors across the sun. Fantastic!!!

Hi Sandy,

Well done, this is beautiful. The whisps of clouds create a nice effect diffusing the late day sunlight. Very sharp, with such wonderful colors, your camera settings appear ideal for this. It would look good framed and on the wall.

Best regards,
Werner

Dear Sandy,

It was a hand held shot and you got such promising results - Oh my goodness - what would you do if might have used a tripod - Wonder?? ;)

I love the mood you managed to capture in this great closeup capture in the peaceful hours of the day. Great colors, nice POV and the clouds suspended in the air, create huge mood into the shot. Well spotted!

best greetings,
Paras
