When your up close to a locomotive you consider it to be huge, but when you compare it to a mainline station it can get lost within the massive structure.

The photo was slightly rotated c/w to straighten up.

The locomotive is Class 47 no. 47767 'Saint Columba' standing at the blocks on Platform 7 at Liverpool Lime Street.

Your night train pictures all do you credit and I am amazed that you have so few points on them. Especially due to some of the not so special pictures around here that you see with many points. Keep your great images and informative notes coming.

That's a very nicely seen thought you had. I like how you played with the perspective and relativity of train vs station. It's nicely framed and full of details. It's really great..I like it a lot!
