[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a shot of an acquaintance of mine who is expecting her 2nd child. She wanted some photos of herself during maternity. I used natural light from the left side here and deliberately overexposed the models left side to create a "radiant" aura of light upon her belly and side. I used a polarising filter on the camera to soften the harshness of the "blown" highlights. I removed a tattoo, erased the shadows from behind the model, and corrected any skin blemishes in Photoshop.

excellent capture
nice light in the image
all the best wishes for the new life comming

Hi Christopher,
I like the idea for this shot. The hands seem to protect the new life.
But there is one problem - at least in my opinion. The right side of the image is overexposed so that no structure is left. the belly seems to fade out without any kind of border. The same problem occurs to the trousers she is wearing. Maybe a different point of view might have avoided this.
Nonetheless a nice shot. Thanks for sharing. Kind regards, Britta

Hello Christopher.

Britta is right about the left side of the photo but it doesn't annoy me at all. It is so lovely shot and perhaps I am a little bit subtle about the theme beacuse my wife and I planning a kid soon, but anyway, trully THANKS for sharing this photo with us. :-)

Sincerely and all the acquaintance of yours.

hello Christopher,
good work. You have managed the light very well. I like your B & W treatment.I like her pose and all the tiny details including the soft down on her belly! One to treasure. I amsure she is pleased with this one.
